It was really great!!! The cakes Buddy made with his team were amazing!!!

Yes! Even DH thought it wasn't bad. Of course they were doing a fire truck cake and he is a fire chief so maybe his opinion was biased! I thought it seemed funny.

I drive by there practically every day. I finally stopped in last year for a cupcake because I awlays hear people raving about their cakes. I was disappointed, did not like the frosting. I may have to try something else there sometime.

Someone on a message board for my neighborhood said they were looking for a place to put a photo on a cake and someone suggested Carlo's. they called there and said they don't do that. So I found it odd that there he was on TV putting a photo on a cake.

We lived in Hoboken for 4 years, 2000-2004 right on RIVER STR in one of the hi rise apt. buildings.
We loved Hoboken.

Watching this show has brought back so many wonderful NY/NJ memories. We actually spent much more time in the bakery a few blocks down from Carlo's....was it called Riveria....but I understand it is now closed and WHY that closed is surprising to me as it was AMAZING.

The fireman's cake was amazing.

What happened to the one that fell apart in the truck? Did he lay into the driver? I'm sure they fixed it ok.

But after seeing how much they handle the cake pieces & how many people sometimes handle it, Like I'm ever going to have a cake like that.

Me too. You never hear him haranguing his staff. He seems to respect their different talents. Duff seems like a guy I'd like to be friends with(and *not* just so I could get the left-over cake!)
