Cake Boss at Disney on Mon 2/8 @ 9 PM

For some reason, I always want cannolis after watching this show. But it really irritates me too. The constant shouting and fighting is just not a good "hook" for them to use. The fake drama is far too staged, and Buddy's attitude just grates on you after a while.

The bride who "ruined" her own wedding cake with all the various frostings was on facebook a while ago, and had pictures of her "final" wedding cake that was done by Carlo's Bakery. There were many comments telling her what a B she was, and she could only reply that the producers had set it up. She actually didn't mind the first cake they'd done.

I was oh so shocked when i read about that

I don't believe that to be 100% true. They may have told her to destroy the cake, but when he delivered the cake for the wedding, she wouldn't even look at it. That made her look like an even bigger "B". :rolleyes1

We saw the commercial tonight for this - can't wait to watch next week! My girls LOVE this show!
Two weeks ago we took the hour drive to Hoboken to go there. They got a kick out of seeing everyone from the show there, and we brought home a little cake - yum! The girls did say they liked this cake much better than the GF one we had at our 1900 Park Fare dinner.

Well thats no surprise. The GF cakes are so dry.

Really?

--Cameras rolling--
Buddy walks in with cake. Bride refuses to see it. Buddy's still proud of his work. Rest of bridal party enjoys looking at cake. Buddy walks out.
--Cut cameras.--
Budday walks back in, bride gushes over how nice the cake is and how much she enjoys it.
--cameras roll--
Buddy gets in van and drives away--

Forced "reality" is not that hard to create, especially when you have people there to set the drama up for you. I believe she also thanked Buddy as the caption for the photos of the cake as well.

Thanks for the heads up. I love this show!

(And, yes, I believe some of it is set up - just like it is in all the "reality" shows.)
