Hi, I am looking to surprise my wife and take her to the California Grill and watch Wishes while eating dinner. In anyone's experience, what's the best time to make the dinner reservations for to catch the show and leave without getting killed by the crowds? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

The first thing you need to do is to find out what time Wishes will be performed on the night you intend to take your wife to dinner.

The second thing you need to do (VERY QUICKLY AFTER YOU DO THE FIRST THING) is call Disney Dining and make an ADR. There is a pretty good chance all ADRs that will allow you to see Wishes will be booked solid at this late date.

Good luck!

We had reservations at 5:50 for the 8:00 fireworks and it was perfect. We had about a 20 minute wait so by the time we ordered, after looking over the menu and having glass of wine, it was about 6:30. I would make your ADR for no later than 6:30 to be safe. People tend to camp, like we did, even though my DH and kids made us leave 20 minutes before the show to go ride rides. Our server encouraged us to stay and that seems to be the case most of the time.
