So we made a reservation tomorrow to eat at Cafe Orleans to try the three cheese Monte Cristo (never had it before!)....not thinking now about the fact that we've already had fried food 2 days in a row, plus eating at Roscoe's fried chicken and waffles for dinner tomorrow.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to still go, and maybe get something else, still get the Monte Cristo to share, or to cancel and eat somewhere else. Worth it? Or no?

If you split the Monte Cristo and an order of beignets, it shouldn't be too heavy of a meal. You can always show up early at Cafe Orleans and they will seat you very quickly to give yourself more time before your Roscoe's meal.

Split the Monte Cristo. I love it, but it's heavy and if you're feeling bogged down in fried food I would pair it with something lighter to share.

(Also, if the beignets are too heavy a companion for you, I like the ones at Jazz Kitchen better anyway. You could do those a different day or meal.)
