Cafe Orleans closed for Refurb?!

We have reservations on Nov. 6th. No notifications yet.

Where did your info. (e-mail) come from?

I tried to make another reservation on Nov. 8th, and that is what I received in response.

I spoke with someone at Disney dining yesterday and they stated right now they are taking no reservations for Nov 3-21 but that they are not cancelling ones made yet as they do not have the offical start date for the refurb. Lady I spoke to stated originally it was to be closed the 9-21 but then the manage of the place said they may close as early as the 3rd so disney dining decided to close reservations for the whole period till they get official dates. She kept my reservations for the 5th and stated should it need to be changed I will get a call.

I think I might cry if its actually closed 11/3-11/18. There are so many things there I wanted to try because I've never eaten there before and its got so many good reviews! Do they normally post the restaurant refubs somewhere on the DL website or is calling them the best way to keep up with that stuff?

I would just call Disney Dining and request a reservation. If they allow you to make a reservation, then no refurbishment is scheduled for that day!

What a roller coaster ride this thread was! So happy to see it'll be open when we're there Nov 16!! I finally talked dh into eating there!!

They let me make a reservation for the 7th just two days ago. I think you are safe.
