Cafe Mickey - what's your preference ?

We've never eaten at Cafe Mickey and having read some of the feedback on here we really want to give it a go but I can't decide whether to go for breakfast or evening meal, what do you reckon ? Which is the best experience and best value ? thanks in advance xx

I have always been for a evening meal and i must admit it is alot of fun We are going for lunch this time though so DD can get some proper character time before we go home.

I'd say dinner is likely to be the best value, as you already get a breakfast included with your hotel, although it's not a character one. The dinner menu is also quite a nice one, which is a bonus.

As Bob and Emma both suggested though, lunch is even better, as it's slightly quieter and has the same menu as the dinner.

We go in the evening normally around half 8ish, as we perfer table service meals in the evening.This time will be good as the parks shuts at 7pm during our stay so its something nice to do in the evening. I cant say i find if that busy either really.

We went for dinner, around 7pm i think and it was brilliant! It was busy but not too crowded or noisy. I think lunch would be a good idea too as it would be quieter, we would do that but dont like eating a big meal early on then going around the park afterwards lol. Dinner seemed to be a nice end to the night too, then back to the hotel to relax.

Have only been for lunch and dinner - dinner is busier and last October our daughters birthday was ruined by very poor service and when the food finally arrived it was cold.
However previously our twins had their birthday there and it was a great evening, with a finale of Minnie dancing on a table.

Didn't go in March this year but will most have dinner there again in October and possibly Christmas Eve.

It doesnt bother me much if the place is busy, makes for great atmosphere IMO.

I'm so torn, don't know when to go. I was originally going to book it for the Friday evening as our 'last night' treat but then rememebered we're going to be at MNSSHP so I thought breakfast on our last day may be an option as we'd probably want to take it easy and not rush but then I guess lunch on our last day may be an option so we can do the park on the morning, have lunch, go to the studios and then catch our Eurostar. Decisions, decisions

I would of booked it for dinner on the Thursday but my brother said there is only so many character meals he can do Little does he know im planning on suprising him with a late Birthday cake in CM

superb, I bet he ends up just loving it !!!!

My hubby always complains that 'it's Disney boot camp' but I've never seen him smile as much as the time when walking past Pluto he gave him a hi 5

Thats like my dad, when we went back in January i was so sure he'd be a MOG (moody old git) but he had a ball and nearly even shed a tear. Its amazing what Disney can do to the hard hearted.

me too!!! thats my exact same problem. im thinking since that will be a long day for us (we have a 22 month old with us that our big meal would be at lunch time so i will probably have lunch at cm on friday. i think

good idea, I was thinking lunch on our last day (after thinking about breakfast, lunch and dinner all on different days !) but perhaps lunch on the day of MNSSHP could be good, perhaps have lunch, pop back to the hotel for a rest and then off to the party ... it could be a plan !

As we don't eat big breakfasts we felt that supper was a better value option.
It also fitted in with when we like to sit down as a family

Basically my me and my dad dont get along but i offered to pay extra so they could come and he agreed and said yes and we had a great time. I would take him and my mum again in a year or so,

i juzt paided for them to come as a present. and he came and we didnt argue one and we have a magicial time.

We have been for an early dinner around 6.30pm when we almost had the characters to ourselves on the top floor.

We have also had lunch there.

I enjoyed both and think it probably depends if you've been to dlrp before.

As we've been a number of times (lost count )I now prefer to have a character meal at lunch and wander around the parks at a leisurely pace. When we first went I was still trying to fit in all the rides and attractions so we did meals at night then.

If you are going at night , early evening is definitely recommended

We had lunch there (12.30) and I thought that was perfect, but it was during very long days.

I wouldn't personally go for breakfast as I can never eat a lot in the morning, so will do an evening meal in Jan as the park closes early.
