I'm a big fan of Cafe Mickey but I know a few people prefer the Plaza. Cafe Mickey just has a nicer feel to me and I had really good service last time we paid a visit.

I went to the Plaza once - it was nice and the food good but I just didn't feel 100% satisfied.

Cafe Mickey on the other hand . . .:goodvibes

The first time me and my DBF went the food was delicious and service good, but of course the characters truely made it an experience. The second time was even better :thumbsup2 The Waitress was LOVELY and tried to teach me French (my French is so bad that my GCSE French teacher told me I had the worst accent she had ever heard - an achievment in itself or not, you decide). She dragged us up to dance with half a dozen characters who really had some moves! I'm still craving the King Tritans fish pie I had.

Tip for Cafe Mickey: try to aviod peak meal times. Service is more attentive and the characters can spend more time with you. It's an obvious tip but very true.

I do love the Plaza Gardens because it fits perfectly into Mainstreet. And the food is OK for 20€, but nothing special.

The Cafe Mickey is very very loud. But if you are going with children I would choose Cafe Mickey! But for us the food was nothing special! A little ouverpriced!

I'd say go for Cafe Mickey at about 12.30 for lunch, it's quieter then and you get more interaction with the characters. You're girls will love it!!

Cafe Mickey without a doubt - the food is far superior and it feels much more like a Disney restaurant.

I agree with this idea!! Cafe Mickey was fun, but it was so loud in the evening. Though it might have seemed worse than it actually was, after having enjoyed a meal in the calm and quiet of Walt's the night before!!!

thanks everyone for your help, think we will give mickey a rattle, what is the cost? do they do birthday parties our youngest is 3 when we r there? will it b ok to book when we check in at s lodge on tuesday 6th feb? yes we are going in 3 days.:cool1:
thanks again

I love cafe mickey, we have been both for lunch and dinner, dinner is a bit like a patomine(sp?) compared with lunch, the characters put on a bit of a show and mess about a bit more, its great fun however lunch is the best time to go to get photographs with the characters as they go around the tables a bit more.
