Cast:
Me (22)
My Sister (24) who well call DSis
My Mum (48) who well call DM
Left Dad and DBF at home for an all girls trip to DLP. We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge for 4 nights (July 12th July 16th). Figured people might find our dining reviews helpful for upcoming trips.
Café Mickey (Dinner) Thursday 13th July
Wed all eaten here before, although not together at the same time so we knew what to expect. Me and DM decided to go for the Café Mickey Menu - 34 each for 3 courses, whilst DSis just wanted a main (we all shared the starters and desserts). I ordered the Tinkerbell Tart, followed by the Honey Pot Barbeque ribs, and the Baloo's Chocolate Tutti Fruitti fondue. The Tinkerbell Tart was more of a flatbread but it was incredible I would recommend to anyone eating here. The ribs were pretty good, though not the best ones Ive ever eaten sometimes I was hard to break them up and get the meat off the bone. The Choc fondue was just ok. Enjoyable but I wouldnt order it again.
DM ordered the Fantasia Mushrooms, the Honey Pot Barbeque ribs and the Snow White's Sweet Apple. Again, the mushrooms were not as expected, but were very tasty though they would have been better without the salt crystals on top. The Snow White's Sweet Apple was very good especially the gingerbread ice-cream.
DSis had the Woodys Country Roast warning only order this if you like Olives! DSis loves lamb and will order it wherever we go, but figured youd be able to pick the olives out you cant!
All the characters were great at the restaurant we werent once ignored as we were an all adult party. The characters were playful and happy to pose for photographs. Both Baloo and Goofy came to sit at our table and pretend to eat with us. The characters we saw were: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Captain Hook, Baloo, Eeyore and Tigger.
It is worth noting that any children that walked up to the characters for autographs etc were politely asked to go back to their table as the characters would only visit tables.
Overall we really enjoyed the meal here. It is a little expensive but the food is very good quality and Id definitely visit again next time I find myself at DLP!
Next Up: Annette's Diner (Second Visit!)
