Anyone ever taken a cab with kids? I will have 2 4yr olds and was thinking of taking a cab from CBR to AKL one evening, instead of using the buses-seems too long with the transfers needed. Only problem, don't know what the rules are or even if there are any about kids riding in cabs. Do they need carseats/booster seats? Do some cabs already have them?

When I looked into this, the car seat rules in Orlando do seem to exempt taxi cabs. With that said, when I've taken taxis with DS from one of the Marriott hotels (really, they were black car service cars, not taxis) they had car seats I could use. I tended to stick with those cars which were a bit more expensive than taxis, because I did not feel comfortable traveling with DS w/o a car seat.

4 yr olds don't need car seats in Florida just in seat belts. so cab or private car they are legal without them.

I agree a lot less hassle than the buses for that particular trip.
