Cabs @ SSR

Are there usually cabs at the hotel or do you have to call a local cab company to arrange a pick up?

We are coming to SSR at the end of the month. This will be our first stay @ a DVC resort w/o a car.

I'd like to go to a local grocery store and do some shopping when we get there.

Any suggestions? Cab cost? Anyone arriving the afternon of 1/27 who might be heading to the store?

I was shocked at the high cost of cabs when we were there in december. I paid 15 dollars from DD to the Beach Club and then 17 from the Poly to the Beach Club. The rest of the time I just waited for a bus.

They are pricey We plan on just walking over to the DTD freindly hotels and renting a car there .Haven't decided to do a couple days or the entire week.

You can also ask the front desk for the number for the company, then they'll pick you up at your building without having to walk allllllll the way to the main building. The other option would be a delivery service they only charge about $5 to deliver, much cheaper then cab fare both ways. We used Garden Grocer and they were great, they'll deliver to your room or leave it with bell service, and make sure they refridgerate if nessicary, with a $50 minimum.
