We are needing to take a cab to Fort Wilderness from Coronado due to timing issues for our Haunted Carriage Ride. From what I understand those rides leave from over by the Hoop Dee Doo area. If we take a cab are they going to be able to take us all the way in to that area or do they have to drop us off at the front of the resort then we have to take internal bus system?

They will drop you at the Outpost at the front of the campground and you will take the internal bus in. The good news is that there are three bus routes that run from the Outpost to the Settlement - yellow, orange and purple. Althought they go through different areas of the campground, they all end up at the same place - where you need to be. So you can get on whichever one comes first. I would allow 30 minutes on top of the cab ride for this though, as you may wait about 10 for the bus, then another 10 to ride it, then you have to walk from the Settlement depot to where the carriage rides depart (near Pioneer Hall).

OK, as a former Cast Member I am gonna say that you CAN take a cab all the way to the back!!! I know you used to be able to cause I have done it in the past for Hoop de Doo....I would call FW upon arrival at your resort and ask for sure....I know you can take a cab to your cabin!! Once you find out, come back and let me know cause all of my former Cast Members are on the fence about the answer!!! :)

OK, I had to find out if I was losing my mind or not so I called them!! :) If your taxi driver calls 407-824-2900 in advance he/she can get permission to take you all the way to the back for the carriage ride!!!!!!!

Awesome! Now hopefully they are willing to actually do it.
