I saw on another thread a reference to taking a cab from one hotel to another.

Are the cabs commonly found at the hotels, or does one need to be called? Is it a problem "only" traveling on WDW property?? (the cab driver won't be mad he got such a small fare?)

If we take Magical Express and bypass a car, we can save about $225. I thought I could budget about $50 for the 4 or 5 times we might want a cab (like from Boma after dinner to POR), or from Wilderness Lodge to the Poly.

Do busses run directly from Downtown Disney to the hotels?

Thanks

Julia

Checker Cab is the contracted cab Company on Disney. The are generally waiting at the resorts, if not, one or more is nearby.

I'm sure they are used to short hops for dinner and such.

Cabs have always been sitting at every resort that I have been at. They are used to taking short trips. In fact, they will probably get a fare soon after they drop you off. Probably make a ton of money on short jaunts around the world.
