We are leaving on the Magic for Mexico on July 19th and we can't decide on which excursion to do in Cabo. We have a 7 yr old and a 5 yr old so we can only do "kid friendly" excursions. Has anyone been on the Cabo Resort Pool Getaway or the Cabo Beach Break?? (We are planning on going to the El Cid Resort in Mazatlan on our own.) Thanks so much for any input!

There is an excursion you can only book once you are on the ship and it is called the premier Beach Escape. We did it with 2 9 month old twins and a 4 year old. It is an amazing day. It is defiately premier, the lounge chairs are actually 4 poster beds with canopys and mattresses, very luxiourius. It is at the Melia hotel in conjuction with the Nikki Beach club which is a club known throughtout the world, they have them in St tropez, Mimai, St., barts, and all the other fabolous becah locations around the world.

Wow that sounds great! Thanks for the tip. We were trying to decide what to do in Cabo as well. Lisa

Mardonna - Thanks so much for the tip. Do you remember what the cost was for adults/children?? Do you lounge at the beach or did they have a pool too? Also, did they provide lunch? thanks!

That sounds great....if you recall price for adults/kids, that would be great to know in advance. I didn't realize there were excursions they would offer onboard which weren't offered in their excursion book. Interesting!

I heard the Premier Beach Excursion is a new added excursion. I wonder if they have the Nikki beach club t shirts. That's my daughters name and it would be cool to get her a shirt. We are on the july 17 boat too. Go to cruise meets and see all the others going. thread by donnetta

See ya

We went to the Melia hotel also (but not on a Disney excursion). We caught a water taxi to the Melia for $10 (for 2 adults & 4 kids) and lounged at their pool for a while. The drinks were pretty expensive ($20 for 2 sodas, 1 beer, and 1 pina colada). The people who were on the Disney excursion got a bracelet for lunch. I'm not sure how much the Disney excursion cost.

Edited to add: The kids in our group were 12, 8, 3, & 3.

You can book the Cabo Premiere Beach Escape by calling DCL. We booked it for our July 9 cruise but I cancelled because we're just going to go on our own (based on all the great info I've gotten on these boards! :goodvibes ). I think the cost was $59 for adults and $39 for kids age 3-9. It includes lunch.

Can you parasail from the Nikki Beach Club? Also, how close is the shopping? I am looking for some hand painted plates for our kitchen and want to know which port had the best selection of plates, glasses, pottery, etc. Thank you!

We are also doing the Paradise Village excursion in Puerta Vallarta. Can you parasail from there? Which is better?

We did the Cabo Resort Pool Getaway. After reading this thread I'm a sorry they didn't have the Premier Beach Escape! :teeth:

But, back to the one we did. The beach is beautiful but the surf is SO wild that you want to look from a distance and not get near it. They had reserved an entire pool for the Disney folks with lounges and tables and chairs. The pool was big and beautiful and the cool part was it had some very shallow areas my DD2 could walk around in while DS9 played in that area as well. But, the water was COLD! We were on the June 4th cruise, so maybe it's warmed up by now! :sunny:

They had a brunch setup up for us in a nice area as well as they had a craft the kids could paint and bring home with them. They also had a pinata party that was the BEST run pinata party I've ever seen. This was my favorite PART, the people were SO good with the kids and so wonderfully nice to the adults as well. I was there alone with my little ones (DH was deep sea fishing) and they helped me at the buffet getting their food and settling them down to eat. I didn't ask for this or expect it, I was at the buffet line holding the toddler, a plate and trying to help DS9 fill his plate and they came over and held a plate for me and helped DS also, while I did my own plate with the toddler! Great people!

Here's some pic's from the pinata party. The big grass roof you can see in the first picture is the building with the buffet. It was more of a breakfast buffet then lunch though.
