Hi Everyone, new here!

Question for all of you have been to Cabo. I'm trying to book a morning excursion for my family, outside of Disney. They gave me a time slot of 10am.

Will we make it off the ship in time? I called Disney and they said the ship will start the tendering process of 8:30am. I understand that those with Disney booked excursions get first priority off the ship.

How does it work for everyone else? Is there a line? First come first serve? Ticket process? If I tell Guest Services that we have an outside excursion booked for 10am, will they help?

I don't want to book it if our chances of missing it are high.

Thanks!

Katherine

There are typically 2 tenders running. At least one of them is dedicated to DCL excursions, maybe both (at least in the morning).

Everyone else goes to one of the theaters (in my experience, it was the Buena Vista Theater). They seat you in the theater in the order you arrive there. You must have your whole party there to be seated. Then, as there is space, you are taken from the theater (in the order you arrived there) to fill available space on the tenders.

Once the DCL excursions have been debarked, and the "line" in the theater has been exhausted, they announce that anyone wishing to take a tender ashore can just proceed directly to the tender lobby to board.

I'm sorry I can't say for sure when that "anyone can board" call is generally made. Hopefully someone else paid better attention than I did.

I've got an excursion booked through Disney at Cabo that starts at 7:45 AM. I'm hoping they start the tendering process before 8:30 on our Cabo day. :)

The start time on DCL excursions is the time you meet onboard. Typically you are held there (until everyone is there) anywhere from 15-30 minutes.

Ah, thanks! This is my first DCL. That makes much more sense now. I couldn't imagine what ungodly hour I was going to need to get there to make a 7:45 AM excursion.

DCL Excursion Tip: The time to meet your excursion group is usually the EARLIEST you need to arrive, not the latest. Been many a time that we arrived 15 minutes before the time on the ticket and were told / made to wait until the time before checking in at the "desk".

On the other hand there has been many times when we were allowed to check in 15 minutes early.

So these days i TRY to slow my DW down and arrive close to the time on the excursion ticket.
