Does the cable access at FW provide regular cable TV or HD? Is there anything special we should know about the cable hook up? We are looking for a small flat panel TV to bring with us in December just to get those special park channels. Just want to make sure we get the right thing because we are also going to use it in our kitchen when we aren't using it in the pop-up.

:happytv: If you are looking at buying a new tv what you have to make sure is that it has a digital tuner to meet the 2009 over the air changes what you are looking for is an atsf tuner. I am sure that fort wilderness is regular definition since they do not issue converter boxes. If you are looking for the best you want Samsung, Sony, or Sharp. If yo want a good tv at a low price try Vizio.:surfweb:

We have 3 Vizios in our house right now and we love them. Today we were looking at a 19" Sharp. I'm pretty sure it has that tuner.

Unless you buy from a wholesale outlet or clearance store, all the current televisions should have digital turners, but ask to be sure.

There is nothing special you need to buy besides the tv, but if you are going to spend the money buy an HD TV with no less then 1080p. If you don't already have an HD TV you will be amazed at the difference. And FW does have some digital channels. Just use the auto scan for your channel setup. If you have an outside antenna, there are several local HD channels in Orlando that you can receive too.

BTW, many other CGs are offering HD cable without a converter box, as long as you have a newer HD TV.

We found the cable selection to be meager. The cable hook-up was also the farthest we have ever seen in a campground. That being said, it was nice to access the weather channel, the kids watched "Stacey" talk about the theme parks and we really didn't watch that much t.v., we were too busy!

TWC would be great to have. We were really interested in those park specific channels. We ALWAYS have the TV turned on in the morning when we are getting ready for the day only to those "WDW" channels.

So we can't get the local channels without an antennae? We have a pop-up so I don't think we will be tripping over ourselves for that. I think it's pretty funny anyhow watching the news in Orlando. Coming from Chicago that news in Orlando seems so tame!
