How long of a cable do you need to be able to hook up to the cable "oulets" at the Fort?

usually about 10' - the connection is right there with the water and electric. I carry a 25' cable and have plenty to spare.

If you are in a Premium site you may need a longer cable. I found my 15' sewer hose too short to take full advantage of the depth of my pad and on our way home I bought an extension to use on our next trip.

A 25 foot cable should do it

I'm so glad you asked that!! We're leaving this weekend and I have to remember to go buy some cable!

You have to bring your own sewer hose too?
I need to ask DH when he gets home but i honestly don't remember us having to bring our own to any of the sites we've camped at before!

FWIW I have never camped anywhere that provided a sewer hose... so I'm sure you have one, your hubby has just been a saint protecting you from the uglier details of RVing! LOL

LOL you're probably right but now I gotta find out how long ours is and if it's long enough? I tell ya if we have to buy too much more in order to camp at FW- we might as well stay in two value resorts! sigh

Dh says ours is only about 10ft and has always been plenty long enough everywhere we've stayed!
So what exactly do you mean "full advantage of the depth of your pad" necessitating the longer than 15' sewer hose? Can't you just park closer to it and have more room on the pad on the other side? *confused*
Or wait- are you saying that in order to pull further BACK in the pad that you need a longer hose because they have the hookups closer to the front of the pad? ugh

We were in the 200 loop in 2006 rite after we did the upgrades and the power pole was at the back of the site. It took 25' to barely reach the outlet. It depende where your cable outlet is in your rig. Mine is in front of the rear wheel on the left side.

Yeah, the hookups are closer to the middle of the pad than the rear (since they extended the pad but didn't move the hookups) so to have maximal useable space at the front on the site (for golf cart and Mom's car) I'd have liked to have backed further into the site, but my hose was too short. This would only really be the case in Premiums. Though I have encountered situations at other CGs where the longer hose will be helpful, too. A CG in Ocala has the sewer connections about 10' removed from the other hookups so to use my short hose I have to park right on top of the post, and be perfectly aligned. According to a "CM" they did this to accommodate park models with solid sewer lines more so than RVs with short flex lines :confused3 . Whatever the reason, I'll be prepared for it this next trip. Better to have and not need...

Is cable available at all sites? I haven't been in a few years and am planning an October visit. This is the middle of college football season do dear husband would cry like a baby if no cable. I was going to do a preferred site but if I can get away with a full and use the extra cash on my golf cart it would be better all around.

Yes, cable is now on all sites.
