A member of our group needs an ECV for long walks in the parks, but is fine with shorter distances and stairs.

We are thinking of staying in a cabin at
Ft Wilderness. We need a tub and do not need a roll in shower. I talked to a CM about ramps so the EVC can be brought inside at night. I was told that with the last rehab of the Ft Wilderness cabins
ALL CABINS have ramps.

Can anyone veriry this? Much as I love Disney CMs, somethings I just meed to verify. Anyone know for sure?

Thanls

All cabins do not have ramps.
Maybe they meant all accessible cabins have ramps. :confused3

That's true that not all cabins have ramps, but not all cabins with ramps have roll in showers. I would just check prior to booking that you need both

Just be sure to "Specifiy" your need every time you speak with a CM. I am sure "Accessibility" will be accommodated above all else.

While you may not need a roll in shower, are you OKAY with one or do you definitely need a "Tub"? Again, making absolutely sure you notify them EVERY TIME you talk to a CM about your reservations just so there is no doubt of what it is you need.

There are "Florida Special Accessible" and "Wheelchair Accessible" cabins offered. Both should have a ramp. The "Wheelchair Accessible" cabin will have a roll-in shower. I believe the "Florida Special Accessible" will have a tub. Accessible cabins is a separate booking category. If booking online, be sure to check off "accessible room" next to where you put in the dates and you will only receive accessible options. If booking by phone, have the CM read the room description to you.

Enjoy your vacation!
