Hello All,

We just booked a Cabin at Fort Wilderness. Are all the cabins in the same general area of the campground? I am just wondering if there are any cabins that might have a more preferable location. We also have our golf cart rented for the week.

Thanks!

Yes, all of the cabins are in one general area. They are all in loops 2200 to 2800 in the map linked to below. As of right now, 2200 & 2500 are the only ones that have been converted over to the new DVC cabins.

2200, 2300 and 2500 are open and I feel like one more loop is really close to being open. 2500 its closest to the DVC pool and laundry. If you have a golf cart, I don't think it makes much difference honestly. We were in 2300 without a golf cart and it was a quick walk to the bus stop because it's a short loop.

If you have a golf cart, then you don't need to worry about being closer to the bus stops for the loops, so you may want to consider requesting a cabin in the 'middle' of whatever loop you're in - they're farther back from the main road and therefore usually quieter and more private...some are backed up against woods or a canal. If you end up with a cabin at the very beginning or end of a loop, you're quite close to the main road so will hear busses, carts, cars, and people walking by. My personal preference is for any of the OUTER loops (23, 25, 27, 28). some of those aren't open yet, but depending on when you're going, they're opening new loops at a pretty fast pace, and the 2700 and 2800 may be open by early 2025.
