Cabin under Buena Vista Theater - Problem?

We got our docs for our cruise and we got the cabin we booked back in April. Although I held out hope for an upgrade, I booked the cabin that I would be comfortable and happy in (which is any on DCL :D ).

My question is about being under the Buena Vista Theater. We are in 6607 which is right below the Buena Vista Theater. I looked at recent Navagators and saw that they will be running movies until past midnight most every night. Will that be a problem? :scared:

dcltribute.com will give you a list or problem or noisy rooms.

Isn't the theatre on deck 5?
We were just in 5122 and the theatre was right near us. I think you are above the theatre.

We were right above the theatre last June. Around the World in Eighty Days was playing past midnight. Some things vibrated in the room during the action scenes. But once I crawled in bed, the gently rocking of the boat put me to sleep in no time. If you're a light sleeper or have a hard time getting to sleep, it might be a problem. Otherwise, we barely noticed it.

When Do You Cruise? That's The Same Cabin We Have For The Feb3/05 Sailing Which Is Part Of Our 7 Night Land & 4 Day Sea Trip? And Yes, You Are Above The Theatre. Let Me Know, And Whoever Goes First, Can Let The Other Know.

STILL LET ME KNOW IF YOU FOUND IT TO BE LOUD, WE LEAVE JAN 27,FROM HOME, DON'T SAIL UNTIL FEB3? PROBABLY WON'T HEAR FROM YOU UNTIL WE GET BACK!
ENJOY :flower1:

Same question, but we are actually over the theater. For some reason, that seems worse than under it due to speaker location etc. Anybody have experience with that (besides of course kdsandburg)?

kg66, we leave 1/29 on the 7 Day Western aboard the Magic.

Thanks, John

yes, please report back. I booked one over the theatre for next time 6592. I'm not worried about night noise but day noise. Actually it looks like I'm closer to being above Flounder's Nursery! LOL

We had cabin 6611 which is almost next to you, and we had a totally quiet room. No noise at all. I can certainly compare this to room 2650 which was a total nightmare, noisy all night.

I just ran it by DH who confirmed that this was a totally quiet room.

Good luck with it

I'd give anything to be back in it.....

We were in 6612 on our 7 nt Western cruise back in 2003. We were traveling with our DD2 at the time and she took a nap in the afternoon. I heard the booms of the base and vibrations throughout the movie. I only noticed it during the day when she napped, possibly because I was awake and worried she would be woken up... she never did (she was sooooo exhausted!). At night, I never noticed it probably because we were all zonked out and with the movement of the ship.

We're going for the other end of the ship next... 6530.

Thanks so much! Makes me feel tons better hearing this! Everything looked good (near the stairs/elevator/laundry room) that I feared something had to be not so good....so good to hear that it's fine!
