Cabin temperature

We are considering another Disney cruise, but on our first cruise the cabin was too hot. We had called maintenance but they told us it was as cool as it gets. Has this problem been fixed?
Although most people don't seem to mind this, it is something that is very important to us because we will be traveling with my DMIL who, for health reasons, needs the room to be COOL.
We need to convince her that the cabin can be made as cool as she needs it to be.

I had the same problem both cruises. The first time, I figured it was just me -- since I am always hot -- and suffered through. Last cruise. I called, and they sent a maintenence person right over. He plugged some electronic gadget into the bottom of the thermostat, punched some buttons, and re-set the lowest temp on the thermostat. Room was nice and cool the rest of the trip. :)

I'm sorry they didn't help you out when you called... next time, I would just call again and ask that they please send someone!

Happy Cruising :)

We have never had a problem with the cabin being too warm. DH keeps the house around 70 degrees (68 if I'd let him) and he never complained about not being cold enough.

did you have a verandah? opening and closing the door will elevate the room temperature quite a bit. And keeping the drapes closed during the heat of the day (9-3) helps a lot too. Once the room warms up (from sunlight/open door) it takes awhile to get it cooled down. We found that by keeping the drapes shut during the daytime hours (when we weren't in the room much anyway) really helped.
