fyi...cabins are a very strong contender for families..although more expensive than the usual as, these robust dwellings offer more than the avg hotel room...and it's fun

Wolverine, do you have any photos that you could post of it? I know that the Dreams Unlimited Travel's "Around the World in 30 Days Tour" has some video of it found here (just click on video link that is found on that webpage), but I would love to see more photos of the place. It does look like such a fun resort.

Thanks for the link, Janet. I am considering staying here (family of 6) and that video and the info. was just what I was looking for.

Anyone else have any comments on FWR?? Good or bad?
I won't be going until 2003, so I would like to get all the info. I can get.

Dizneenut, glad the link proved helpful. I am going to repost it here since it was so dang small in my prior post and could be easily overlooked: Dreams Unlimited Travel's "Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground" Webpage.

I saw someone's photos of the cabins recently, and if I can track them down, I'll post the link here. They really looked wonderful and made me consider trying out this resort on a future WDW vacation.

I can't find the photos that I was looking for, however, I did find this webpage by someone by the name of Jeff Spencer: Fort Wilderness FAQ. There are some wonderful photos posted there. It looks like a fun resort.

We stayed once in a cabin and like it very much. It's especially convenient if you have your own car, because you can park right at your cabin and the Disney transportation is a little cumbersome, so it can be easier to drive. If you rent the golf carts, you are looking at some big bucks for your stay.

We just switched from 2 rms @ POR to a cabin. My family is so excited and with the fall fling rate we couldn't pass it up. We decided to rent a cart for a few days only because it was recommended so strongly and this being our first time there. This resort seems to be a perfect place for relaxing after being at the parks all day, complete with a full kitchen and private deck. And my ds's love the idea of going to the MK by a boat.
