Wondering as to the advantages and disadvantages of each cabin loop? What's your favorite and why? We have our reservations--how far in advance should we call to request a particular loop?

Loop 2500,2600 and 2700 are right near the quiet pool and laundry. 2100,2200and 2300 are the closest to the Meadows pool and trading post about a half mile away. All the loops are close to the bus stops, just ask for a cabin as close as possible to the bus stop. You can call the resort about 5 days before you arrive and request what you want.Have a great trip,we love the cabins and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

2500 is our favorite. It is a small loop, adjacent to the pool and laundry, and right next to a bus stop. The location is great. 2600 would be our second choice as it is right across the street from 2500 but a bigger loop.

And we like the 2100 loop backing up to a regular camping loop 1100. There's a loop for everyone!

We stayed in the 2200 loop on our april visit and found it to be very convenient. We did rent a golf cart and I would say we were about 3 min. away from the pool closest to the cabins and 5min. away from the meadows.

Friends of ours are at FW now, and in the 2600 loop. When they first arrived they were upset about it, because they find the purple bus route to be inconvenient. They prefer to be on the route that goes past the Meadow pool/store/campfire area.

On their arrival day we met them at the campfire/movie and they found it to be a pain to get there, having to take 2 busses.

This was something I hadn't thought of.

I'm looking for a cabin loop that is close to the marina, take only one bus(I didn't know about the 2 buses) and small....or more trees than others (private) or loops that have some of these characteristics? can anyone help, thanks

All of the cabins are on the purple route, but you only need to take one bus to the marina at the settlement, where you get the boat to Magic Kingdom or the bus to MGM.If you go the other way on the purple bus you go to the outpost where you get the bus for Animal Kingdom, Epcot or Downtown Disney. You do have to take 2 buses to get to the campfire, pool or trading post at the Meadows. You take the purple bus either way then take the yellow bus which runs up the center of the resort and goes past the Meadows. If you are in loop 2100,2200 or 2300 you can walk to the Meadows it is only 1/2 a mile. I have walked to the Meadows from loop 2500-2600 and found it a pleasent walk.We have never had a car or rented a cart in our stays in the cabins and found the buses to be very regular, every 10 minuets. You will be given a bus map when you check in,if you spend a few minuets studing it you will not have any trouble getting around. All the loops are tree covered, quiet and great ,but I like 2100 or 2200. Have a great trip. :cheer2:

The purple bus actually can get you very close to the Meadows recreation area. When the bus gets to the Outpost or Settlement just stay on the bus. The Purple bus then becomes the Yellow bus and completes its loop around the campground. Get off at the 1500 loop and walk over the bridge to the Meadows Recreation area.
BTW pooh4me it's the Orange bus that runs through the center of the campgrounds.

Old camper you are right about the orange bus.I should have looked it up.Thanks for the correction. You know the mind is always the first to go. :confused3
