We will be staying in a cabIn the first week Of October. Dh, myself, dd 13 who is still recovering from an eating disorder, dd 11, ds 6 and dd 6 whom has cerebral palsey and uses a small wheelchair. At home her chair never comes inside as she can crawl. I would love to know the best loop to request that will work for her as well as my other kids desire to be close to a pool etc.

Make a special request in your reservation. "We need an ADA cabin close to the pool".
Remember there are 2 pools, the quiet pool by the cabins and the main pool. The cabins are not near the main pool but close to the quiet pool. There will be a bit of a walk or a bus rife to the main pool.

Be sure to communicate your special needs on your reservation.
They will do their best to accommadate your needs, but can only help if you supply the info.
They want you to have the best time possible.

Loop 2500 is right next door to the quiet pool and laundry.

2500 is closest to the pool and laundry. I would request a low numbered room to be the closest.

I also know that there are a couple of ADA cabins in that loop - I was in one.

The only loops with ramps are in the 2500 and 2800 loops. If you do not need a roll in shower there are quite a few cabins with just the wheel chair ramps in the 2500 loop. Make sure that you request one and let them know you have a wheel chair when you book your cabin. You will love the cabins and Fort Wilderness. Have fun.

the quiet pool is not the pool with kids area, that is main pool. main pool is not close to any cabins that i know of. ages of younger kids make me think they will want to go to main pool based on my grandsons wants. that will mean a bus ride or a golf cart ride to get to, no car parking at main pool.

Just be aware that when you get the ADA cabin with a roll-in shower; you will not have a tub (it's either/or).
Also - You might want to request a cabin near the front of whatever loop you end up in because you'll be closer to the bus stop.
