Cabin help 12028, 11004 concierge or keep my AFT 8684?

Well, I bit the bullet and upgraded to concierge tonight! 11004, hoping its a nice location. As this is an adult only trip and our 25 anniversary splurge, I wanted to make it special. It's my first time cruising, hope I don't have a problem being sea sick! Guess I'll see when I'm there lol:)

I think you'll really like deck 11, especially if it rains and you want to be on your verandah.

Trying to decide as well...we are on deck 7 now but seeing about upgrading to concierge...what did you mean by "door to the outside" that only you used?
We just stayed in that room on 4/25 Fantasy sailing and while there was a door right next to us, it was marked emergency exit so we never used it. Not that it was an issue since you are so close to the stairs, elevators and the doors to the deck.

we were in 12524 and the location was great. the door that has been discussed was one that no one seemed to be using. the verandahs on deck 11 are covered/enclosed vs deck 12 which are open. would completely change the verandah experience for me. concierge was a complete treat and hope that you enjoy it!!!

We're booked in 11004 on our upcoming April 2015 Dream cruise. It's proximity to the Concierge lounge on Deck 12 was of no consequence to us. I'm a "Spa Diva" on dry ground so our suite's proximity to the Spa was a nice "plus"...

Will submit a TR when we return. Our review is, of course, subjective. But, maybe it'll help in the decision making process for future cruisers.

Bon voyage! Buen viaje!
How did you like your room Philly cruiser? ☺️ I'm getting excited, my request day opened today, booking day is Friday July 3..... I've put in for a cabana, a palo brunch and a palo dinner :) really looking forward to our first cruise. I was contemplating seeing if I could upgrade to a better room in port, perhaps a cat T, but maybe it'll be worth it to just keep what we have and save the money! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the room!

Congrats! We've sailed in this room. It's FANTASTic. And the stateroom host, Ronald, is the best we ever had. Very friendly young man...and his Wall-E "towel animal" is our family's favorite. :-)

Enjoy!

Another vote for the covered, bump out cabin 11004...less traffic too. We've cruised on both concierge decks. but prefer 11 because it's quieter than 12.

Getting excited! We just put in our requests yesterday for our Cabana and Palo dinner/ brunch. I am looking forward to our first cruise, and I am actually thinking of just sticking with the bump out verandah in 11004, instead of trying to upgrade to a CAT T cabin. There are just the 2 of us, so we don't need any more space, and I think I would just prefer to save the money for other things as the concierge upgrade was quite a bit pricier already! :)

We've gotten lucky twice and was able to upgrade at port. The price difference was minimal...in comparison to the original quote.

BTW...the tub in the Cat T is awesome!

We stayed in 12028 on the Dream (so equivalent location, etc.) and LOVED the cabin (even if we really didn't use anything in concierge). The only time we saw the outside cleaners were when they were actually cleaning, and only because we'd gone back to the cabin to get something. We loved that there was a door to the outside right at the end of the hall, steps from the door. Our cabin steward referred to it as our private door as he never saw anyone else using it - and we never heard anyone else using it. IF we were ever going to stay concierge again (we personally don't fine if necessary, but that's us) we would have no qualms staying in 12028 again on either the Dream or the Fantasy.

Agree with this post, we have stayed in 12528, some room just other side of ship, and are soiling in 12028 in a couple of weeks. We have sailed 1 bdrm concierge before as well closer to lounge entrance and have found a bit further away from the lounge entrance is a bit more quite and we like the close door right out to deck 12.

Saw that OP booked concierge on deck 11 - you will love concierge and all the little perks - enjoy.

At the end of the hallway, opening to the outside deck, is a doorway. It's only one way, out, but it's just another way to get out. We have used it a bit when on 12 port. This picture is facing aft from room 12004 (my favorite by far). The red circle at the end of the hallway is the window in the door that leads out to Deck 12, just to the side of the main doors. It's very convenient if you're in room 12026 or 12028. We used it a few times when there were people standing in the lobby outside the elevators on 12.
