Cabin advice on the Fantasy.

Hi Everyone.

Planning to look into another caribbean cruise on the Fantasy for Summer 2017. We have sailed both the Dream and the Fantasy, both times staying in a CAT 4 A on deck 9.

I wanted to try something a little different this time, I have seen posts about different types of verandahs.

Can anyone suggest one to consider, and what the differences are?

I looked for the old thread that has detailed pics of the ship with cabin numbers, but I can't seem to find it?

We stayed in a Cat 7a Navigators Verandah on our last cruise to save a bit of money but still have the fresh air of the verandah. Now some of these cabins have very tiny balconies, but others simply have a bit of a loss of the full opening due to the curvature of the ship. We were in 9664 which you can see in one of the pictures in the first link above, which has a very small curvature out of the forward side. We saved a great deal on this cabin, and we actually really enjoyed it. The forward side only had about 1 foot of "lost" verandah, but it was also closed off from the next balcony, making it very private and a nice break from the wind while sailing. If you pick which cabin you want from this category, you can get a great deal and still have a great balcony!

Those are the category 5e cabins I believe.

I forget what category code we booked, but we had a Deluxe family suite with oversized balcony. It was midship on deck 5, right beside the lifeboats so it was VERY oversized. Stateroom 5052. It wasn't exactly private which was a downside, but there was some privacy. Might be an option?
