How was the Cabana's table service for dinner? I have a family that does not like to be on a schedule for dinner. What do they serve?

Thanks

I have done the Cabana's for dinner and it is just great! It is quite quiet and uses rotational dining menus/ I loved it and will most definitely go again. No ressie, no dress code etc - love it!!!!

I've done the Topsider's sit down dinner on the Magic. It is lovely. You are welcome to look at the menu before choosing whether to be seated or not. On rotational nights they serve one or two of the dishes from each of the regular restaurants in addition to the salad bar and meat that is special to them. The dessert menu is considerably more restricted than the downstairs restaurants with 3 items available.

I found the food to be better than in the main restaurants (surprise!) and the service to be excellent.

We did it because we found ourselves to be hungry about 7 pm with late seating....while we missed our regular servers, we very much enjoyed the "upstairs" experience. As a bonus, we had a lovely view of the sunset.

Thanks everyone for the input. What is your honest opinion. We would miss eating in the other places? We like to sit together, eat around 630 and are OK with eating in a quiet place. Actually, Hubby and I never darkened the door in the dining room on our last cruise (Navigator of the Sea).

The food looks great on the menu too. Grilled food!!!!

You may want to go to Animator's Palate just to see the 'show' during dinner. But the other ones, nothing special happens in them, but they are worth seeing at some point just for the decor.

So if the time works out better for you, then I would say go to Cabana's and enjoy!

I agree. We try to eat upstairs at least once during the cruise.

good to hear that the food is good. When I was on my last RCI cruise, We ate in the buffet area for dinner. We liked not being on a schedule and just being a couple.
