I called HR to reserve one. It was about $200. You get it from open to close. You cannot rent for 1/2 a day...we tried! They include a certain amount of non alcoholic drinks, but I can't remember exactly, about 12.

You can also pay another $40 (I think) for a prime location cabana.

You also need to have your hotel reservation number before you can reserve. I reserved mine for August a few weeks ago and had no problem.

*I also sent you a PM

Do you need to pay when you reserve the cabana or is it added to your hotel bill?

I did not pay when I reserved it. They asked for my reservation number and told me I could cancel up to 24 hours before my date.

like i said, if the policy has changed, i am unaware of it.

i have not rented one in some years.

that is why i gave the link with the direct number to call to ask the questions.
things change all the time.

there was a time that guests staying in club could get a discount on the cabanas.
i have no idea if that has changed too.

Does anyone know how many cabanas there are?
Which ones are "prime location" cabanas?

more expensive ones are:

The Yellow Submarine" or Stevie Wonder’s "Musiquarium

The Musicaquriam (Stevie Wonder) is available. Any of
the Beach cabanas or cabanas 1 & 2 on the opposite side of the pool would
be the best to view the Friday night Dive-In movies which are now shown on
the beach Club stage area!

an older thread:

from an older discussion board: (prices here will not be correct)

There are 10 of them at HRH. They are probably 8 ft? square tents that can be open or closed (like drapes) on any of the 4 sides. There is a tv, mini fridge, table and 4 chairs, as well as 2 lounge chairs to the front reserved for you to sun on. They provide the soft drinks (6) and water (2) as well as a bowl of fruit. It is $75 for the whole day, $45-$50 for 1/2 day (3-10 p.m.) They're great cause you will always have a spot at the pool. They kind of circle the perimeter of the pool. There is a map with them noted somewhere in these threads. You could do a search for cabana map.

read goofy's post 6 and 7.

she copied robvia's posting from when he was there.

pictures are included in this thread.

i know this will help.

when you go to Robvia's section, open them up.

you will see a close up of the cabana and what it has to offer.

when you read goofy's posts, you will see the cabana's from a distance.
you can see where their locations are in her pictures.

i save a lot of useless stuff.
i finally can use some of those saved threads to help someone.........

Thanks macraven I called today. I had an idea of which one i wanted b/c we were there last year and said we were going to rent one next time, but didn't know how to tell them which one. We got #10 just the one I wanted. It was $190 for the whole day (reg price is $230). You get a discount for staying Club :) woohoo!! Only 45 more days!!!!
BTW I was told you can only rent for the whole day not half day.

Just to let you know, the cabanas have all been updated with waist high credenzas that flat screen tvs sit on. There is a safe and refrigerator in the bottom. They are mostly stainless and look very modern. The pictures already posted here have the old tv amoire in them. They also used to only have two lounge chairs per cabana but now they have four. Here's a couple of pictures with the new credenzas. The ECU banner in back was ours.

Looks very updated. From the old pictures they looked like they needed that!!
Thanks for the info. and pics!

Thank everyone for all of this information. I love the new pictures. We rented #5. We know it isn't a theme one, and that we won't be able to see the movies, but is it a good view for people watching? Thanks

to find out if #5 cabana is a good location, check out the link i posted prior.

go thru and find Goofys pictures.

she has the cabanas labeled by number.

i know robvia's pics are dated but the tv's were changed some years back as the same in the recent photo a pp posted.

came back to say #5 cabana was not in the pics.
what you can do is count down from the numbers of the ones shown.

i am not sure but wonder if #5 is more towards the shower room / rest room area.

Diane- Glad you finally reserved one. I am looking so forward to our trip even more now. Last year we were sitting under an umbrella right in front of cabana #10. DH was saying next year we're getting one of those!
Have a great trip! :)

Thank you so much! I did get a map from Hard Rock, but because I've never been there, I can't really picture which location would be best. I will check out the information you provided. Again, thanks so much, you are so organized!

I have a copy of the map that I saved to my desktop...but I don't know how to post it here....sorry.

if i can find one of my older maps of hrh, i'll let you know.

i can mail it to you.

i had at one time 12 of them......

give me some time and i think i know where the other cabanas are .

i have so many saved "useless until i need it" notes, it will take me quite awhile to pull that one up.

if you do the dive in movies and your cabana is not lined up for a great view, you can use a float in the water to watch the movie.

When I look at the map, we are close to the exit to Universal. Cabana Six is right next to the exit and we are one in from that. On the other side of the path are cabanas 7 through 10, but we didn't want to pay the additional cost. Do you think Cabana 5 will be in a good location?
