hi all
It's my birthday today and I just managed to bag the last cabana on the Family beach at castaway cay for our upcoming trip!
We've got Cabana no 20, and I'm struggling to find out much information, other than most people seem to prefer the lower numbers (particularly 5-9!)
We are a family of four - our two boys are 9 and 12, and im sure will want to visit Pelican plunge and do some snorkelling, and wed all probably want to take advantage of the included snorkelling equipment and bike rental - although our priority will be chilling out and sunbathing.
We like to be away from crowds and if that is the quieter end of the beach then that's terrific - I'm a sun worshipper, so I'm not worried about lack of shade and indeed I don't actually like to be too near vegetation as I get paranoid about bugs and being bitten, so from that aspect the new cabanas appeal - but they do seem very close together?
So, after that long introduction
, my questions are these.....
How far away from everything REALLY is cabana 20? We are able bodied and can walk comfortably - is the walk to pelican plunge, cookies and the snorkelling a trek or just a slightly longer stroll than the other cabanas?
For those of you that have stayed in the new cabanas, were you happy? Or would you have switched to a lower number if one became available? And if you would/wouldn't switch could you tell me why please?
Thank you so much for any advice
- I was thrilled this morning when I managed to get a cabana, but now I'm worried that perhaps the area is too close together to feel private and im worried about being too far away from everything to make popping to get food or snorkel etc easy?
