cabana location

I am still trying to figure out where to request our cabana at Discovery Cove. Any suggestions?

If you're not sure where to request, you could always leave it up to fate (that's what we did on our first visit, since we really didn't "know" the park or which feature would be our family's favourite).

Our first cabana was adjacent to the Grand Reef. Our second was along the Wind Away River, across from the Freshwater Oasis, and very short stroll to the Aviary. The Grand Reef cabana was not quite as private as the one on the other side of the park. Our second cabana was also closer to the restaurant.

Thanks for the tip on the Grand Reef being more private.
Is there any part that the kids can just swim and splash around without snorkeling?

The Grand Reef was less private......the one near the Wind Away River was in a much quieter area:



To compare, here was our cabana adjacent to the Grand Reef:

For just splashing around without snorkeling, I would recommend doing so in the lagoon at the entrance of the lazy river, shown here:

We enjoyed the privacy of the second cabana, too. Our own little private oasis in paradise!
