Cabana - how do they control access?

Your own beach area, shower, safe, towels, cold wash clothes, sodas, waters, snacks (chips/ granola bars/etc.) fresh fruit, sand toys for the kids, beach inner tubes/floaties, bicycle rentals & snorkel gear. Feel like I'm forgetting something :/

this past April, I was talking with one of the cabana/concierge hosts when a lady without a wristband opened the back gate and started down the path pushing a baby stroller. She wasn't wearing a cabana band. The host quickly and politely got her turned around while speaking with her and indicated that she was in a private area. In two different cabana experiences, I have never seen someone "manning the gate" behind the cabanas, but their supply hut where the hosts are stationed is along that path behind maybe cabana 5 or 6. It does make for ease in monitoring (very inconspicuously) who is coming and going. There is one of the hosts that are stationed at the beach opening to the private beach section as it does appear more non-cabana guests try to access the uncrowded cabana beach area that way.

I think the vast majority of cruisers respect it, I saw children swim in from the FB to get the floats and be turned back, I think they just didn't know.

Those pesky FB'ers. They are trying to get in everywhere (you do mean facebookers - right)???? ;-)

Of course. How silly of me lol

No problem,

There was a prolific poster here replying to a post about a DM cruise, in the past who posted,

" curious what is a DM cruise?"

If anyone can't work it out highlight my post below this line.

Disney Magic

How far in advance can you book a cabana?

It depends on your castaway club status on the number of DCL cruises you have had.

So

  • Concierge and contact shoreside concierge for bookings from 125 days pre cruise.
  • 120 Days concierge can book online with platinum cruisers, ( over ten cruises)
  • 105 Days Gold can book thats five or more cruises.
  • 90 Days pre cruise its sliver cruisers who have had a DCL cruise before
  • 75 days any one else inc new cruisers.

Often there gone at the 120 days mark..
