Cabana, day of use??

Hi, Is it possible to rent a cabana at HRH on the day you want to use it??Or is it pretty much a WAY ahead of time thing?? Thanks, Joan

It depends on when you are going and if you want a specific cabana. The choice cabanas (such as the themed ones) are usually booked way in advance.

However, last July, it was very crowded. All the cabanas on the beach side were taken, but there were a few empty ones along the back side (by the hotel pool entrance). So, even though it was a very busy time, there were still cabanas available.

Off season I have seen empty cabanas. Most likely during peak times the cabanas sell out months in advance. I always call ahead and book one a couple months prior and last time i was not able to get the one I wanted it was booked already. You can book it ahead and cancel it more than 24 hours before rental and not have penalty. It doesnt cost anything to book one, they charge it to your room the day of.

Or, you can take a chance and try to get one while you are there. I guess its possible but odds are against you.

Hi, Thanks for the answers! We have 4 days at Universal and normally I would be in the parks EVERY day! But I am thinking I may like 1 day to sleep late and just hang around the pool I could REALLY use a day of NOTHING! Joan

I think it can be done. Cabanas 1-6 are on the hotel side of the pool, and not that popular. #1 and #2 will probably be taken as they are close to the bar and bathrooms. But Cabanas 3-6 will most likely be empty. Here, check out these pics taken on June 14th. Pool was packed, yet there were empty Cabanas.
