Cabana Bay questions

Staying at Cabana Bay exterior poolside suite in two weeks. How can you do mobile check-in? Anyone know if rooms here have been refurbished? Is the courtyard pool open regular hours everyday? Thanks

They don't exactly have mobile check in. Sometimes (not always) you will get an email a day before arrival inviting you to do online checkin, but you still have to stop at the desk to get room keys (there is a separate shorter line for that) So keep an eye out for the email.

I have not heard of the rooms being refurbished.

No clue about the pool, but in a busy time at the height of the summer I would hope so. Maybe someone who has been there recently will chime in. Or try the dedicated CB thread above.

I think it helps to be registered on USO APP with your info including saved credit card info .
Once I updated my online info, I started receiving the day before text to check in online . Those lines are slow because everybody seems to have a problem or lots of questions .
I think the front desk Team Members are always really nice& helpful so not complaining !

We love the exterior suites and always book them but no I don’t think they have been refurbished. On our last trip they do look a little worn, but not at all dirty, just value/worn (but so did our majorly more expensive DVC rooms in the years leading up to that resorts refurb).

Thats the pool with the slide and it has been closed for maintenance at slow times (September) but I’m sure its open in the middle of summer.

Mobile check-in seems to be hit or miss. I've always heard it only for people who book through Universal but I always do and never get an email. I think most people say if they get one its the day before check-in.

Stayed 1 night in June, I did book through Universal. Got the email the night before to check in, and completed online checkin then. This was the message I got:

Thank you for checking-in.

Please note that check-in is at 4:00 pm local time. Upon arrival at the hotel, find the Checked-In Already sign and proceed to that desk. For your security, we will view and verify your government-issued ID and the payment method used to check-in online. After that, we'll provide you with your keys, and you'll be on your way. We look forward to seeing you soon! I checked in at 7AM, got room keys, (and room was actually assigned!!) and caught bus to IoA for early entry.

did june trip as well and got email day before. if you get the email use it, the mobile check in line was 1 person ahead of us regular checkin was 15 people deep at least. we booked with travel agent.

I book directly through Universal and have always gotten a mobile check-in email the day before (sometimes the day of? I remember doing it a few trips last year on the drive down in the morning). But have heard others sometimes don't get the email.

The pools are open from like 9am or 10am till usually 11pm.
