Can anyone tell me a bit about the poolside rooms at Cabana Bay?

Are the room entrances indoors (like a standard hotel) or outside (like a Disney All Star resort)?

Are the poolside rooms quiet, or will I be waking up in the middle of the night because of the noise from swimmers?

It's actually cheaper for us to book a poolside room over a standard tower room with the current Harry Potter package they are running, but I want to make sure I know what I'm getting us and if it's worth it.

Thanks!

Poolside rooms that you are talking about are all outdoor front entrance. The tower ones are more expensive due to the interior hallways. That said its your preference what to stay in. We stayed in the tower poolside suite because we wanted to be inside AC to and from the room and lobby.

What would you say is the noise level? Do you hear the pool all night?

Are you sure that poolside is only around the courtyard? I've been going back and forth between a poolside room at Cabana Bay or a Standard room at Sapphire Falls and the Poolside room description is:

"Poolside Room
Open the curtains and enjoy views of the lush foliage surrounding the expansive pool area that leads to the lazy river. Just like the roadside motels of days past, the pool area is always a fun place to be and be seen. This Tower Room features two queen beds, iconic decor, and a flat screen TV to make your room a private getaway."

This description specifically mentions a Tower Room, which is the only reason that I'm considering it. The Courtyard rooms don't appeal to me either.

I did not stay in a courtyard pool room, prefer the tower pool view suites.

I just went back an re read the OP post.

The courtyard pool rooms are all family suites and not a standard room. In the tower they have standard rooms with pool view and non pool view.

Personally between CB and SF I would choose SF standard over CB standard pool view. The view is really not an issue to us.

Yeah it's very vague, just says "Poolside Room, 2 Queen Beds, Flat Screen TV"

The option below it says "Standard Room. These tower rooms are a great place..." and are listed as more expensive than the "poolside room"

It's a bit confusing.

Just found this on the Universal site:

Open the curtains and enjoy views of the lush foliage surrounding the expansive pool area that leads to the lazy river. So it looks like it's in the tower and not the outside motel style room entrances.

Yep, that's what I read too.
