Cabana Bay. Is there a bad view of Volcano Bay?

So... I’m very almost convinced to upgrade our hotel from the Rosen Inn to Cabana Bay.

The main draw for me is the volcano view. Those huge windows with the sun setting behind the volcano just look irresistible to me!

The worry I have is that I’m going to pay all this extra money and get a ‘meh’ view of some slides. I want to see that volcano!

Do the first floor / low floor rooms count as a ‘Volcano Bay View Standard Room’? I can’t imagine they have much of a view...?!

I’m staying for 10 nights so the difference in cost is quite high (to me) & I would be heartbroken to waste that much money when I’m perfectly happy with the cheaper hotel.

Ultimately my question is: what’s the worst view from a ‘Volcano Bay View Standard Room’?

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm not sure but I am sure that they would let you pay to upgrade if you didn't like your view. I did that because a view of the parking lot and saving money was fine on paper but in reality, I wanted a pool view. :) I do think that you have a poor chance of a good view from a low level room though. Plus, I wouldn't want a ground level room where people were always walking past.
