Hello!
I've done a search but came away more confused than before... Do either or both lazy rivers (hotel and park) offer free lazy river tubes? Do we bring our own or are there rentals offered? Or do we need to buy them there? What is the pricing if we need to rent or buy? Same question about towels. Looking for current COVID times answers, please. TIA!!

At Cabana Bay you need to buy your own. You can buy it at the hotel (certain hours only) or you can bring your own from home. At Volcano Bay they have the tubes there for you to use so no problem with that. 😊

I hope you have a lovely time! Volcano Bay really is a GREAT waterpark!!! I loved the fast river and the water coaster. Also the tapu tapu's were a little annoying but also it was nice not to have to wait in a line that was overflowing so overall I like the system a lot.

As the PP said, Cabana Bay there's a shack by the pool with the lazy river where you can buy them. They have several options depending on what you need. They will also inflate it for you. You can also bring your own. (this was all pre-covid). Our float disappeared (I hesitate to use the word stolen, I think someone mistakenly took it thinking it was free to use) on our last night, so be prepared to mark it with your name or bring some kind of lock.

Volcano Bay, they provide you with one. Their lazy rivers are MUCH larger than the one at CBBR, but I enjoyed the one at the hotel.

Having not stayed at Cabana Bay yet, where did your tube disappear from? Was it while you were in the pool or something? It never occurred to me that could happen.

yes, so the lazy river is next to one of the big pools. It's all one area with beautiful landscaping and chairs. The bar is in the corner, along with the place you can go get food. I set everything down by one chair, (we had 2 floats plus various flotsam and jetsam you have when going to the pool) my son got into the pool and I went to the bar to get a drink. I came back, sat down and only one float was there. I didn't even notice the float was missing until he came back and asked for it.

Honestly, unless you've done the research and know you have to pay for floats I can see why people would think they're just part of the pool amenities. They're branded to Cabana Bay and several people have them both next to chairs and in the pool. I know at the pool near us that has a lazy river floats are included, so it's an easy assumption to make.

They're not that expensive, but I'm also not willing to re-purchase one only to watch it disappear (DH was ecstatic, one less thing to pack lol) and it happened on the last night of our trip. For this year I'm bringing a bike lock and will just loop it around the handle of the float and our bag.

That is why I like to take pool noodles. I've never had a tube stolen. But, my logic is that everyone knows pool noodles are super cheap so won't bother to steal them. For our upcoming trip we bought tubes because I read one place that they were expensive. Then later I read another place that they weren't that bad and make a nice souvenir. We are driving and bought a luggage thingy for the car hitch, so we have plenty of room.

One advantage of a bike lock is that they won't fly away either. Need to mention that to DH. If we don't have one, he could rig something up. I guess a towel on it could hold it down and sort of mark it too.
