Cab to DL

I am planning on taking a cab from the Anaheim Marriott Suites since I'm not sure how safe it would be to walk. Are there any reputable cab companies people can recommend and an approx cost? Also, where in DL do cabs pickup/drop off? I will most likely be going to DL by myself so I want to be prepared.

It would be safe to walk, but it is a long, long walk down Harbour Blvd to get to your hotel (and it seems even longer when you are heading back to the hotel). A cab will be easy to get from your hotel to Disney, but getting one back may be a bit harder, they are busy at the end of the day. You can also take the ART bus (Harbour Blvd Line the route name) as it goes up and down the Blvd. You can get single ride passes, or multi-day passes.

Just one more question. Can you give a report on what the hotel is like? We are currently in the Fairfield, but are considering switching. We are looking for a more adult hotel, vs a kid friendly hotel.

For a taxi at the end of the day, couldn't you go to the GCH and get one there.
When we've stayed at the GCH there have been a line of taxis waiting out front.

ART is another option.

We're intending to take Uber to get around the area. If you have a smartphone you can download the app.

We walked from and to the Hilton garden inn not even a block away and it was fine. Now, we did have big strong hubby with us and it was a bit of a walk. Depends on fitness level and how you want to experience getting to the parks.

If ART doesn't go that far there's some sort of shuttle that picks up at embassy suites I believe.

You can call the local cab co. and they will tell you exactly what the fare will be.

Another option is walking to the Toy Story parking lot and getting the tram from there. Probably a 15-20 min walk from the hotel to the lot.

ART does go that far, the 1 and 2 lines run pretty much between that Marriott and DLR; bus every 20 minutes; $3 each way.

For the OP, it's a 1.5 mile walk (~30 minutes), a straight line up the busiest tourist corridor in the area; it's safe..but it's 1.5 miles (at the end of a park day). You may have to wait for cab at the end of the day as more people are departing, but you can schedule the Uber for yourself and not lose the ride. If it were me, I would rely on ART and keep Uber as a backup.

I'm interested in this because we have to turn in an Avis rental car on Katella near DL. I looked up the cab fare to the DLH and it said $26 in GOOD traffic! That seemed excessive, knowing that we are fairly close to the hotel. I'd like to go some other way, but not sure of the ART situation. How easy to get a bus from that Avis location (200 W. Katella). Comments anyone?

The ART Bus only gets you half way there.

The ART bus drops off at the transportation center on the east side of the Esplanade ... from there, you walk across the Esplanade (past the park entrances) to the west side and all the way down DTD to DLH, roughly 3/4 of a mile.

If you don't have luggage, it's a pretty easy 30 minute walk from the rental car shop to DLH...or 15 minutes to the parks. If you have luggage, you may have to cab it.

Thanks...we will have luggage, so sounds like the decision is made for us!

I'm curious after having an issue in Hawaii, does Anaheim have the same laws as Northern CA seems to with Uber? They can and will pick up from an Airport? Or is it only the Uber Black cars now?
