Cab service?

We are staying onsite the whole time but we are doing 2 days at Universal and 1 day at SW. I know they have shuttle buses you can use for a fee (19/adult) I don't want to be tied down to have to watch my clock or worry about the bus (shuttle) thing..I would rather take a taxi or cab from hotel to these places with out worrying about anything and less travel time also. my ? is do we have to call for a cab when we want to leave or is there cabs/taxis just outside the attractions and our hotel PoP century just waiting for anyone that decides to want a taxi ride? I don't have a problem calling a couple minutes in advance to get one- just was wondering about it.

I know you can rent a car- but I don't want to since I want to drink a couple and not worry about anything! Its vacation!

There will be cabs waiting in front of all the Disney resorts. Just mention that you need a cab to the Disney CM outside and they'll call one over. There are usually multiple cabs waiting sometimes out of view.
