What supermarket is closest to the Boardwalk? We are staying at the BWV and my DM wants to pick up some supplies. I told her we would just have the groceries delivered but she wants to pick out the items herself. We are taking DME so no grocery stop for us. How much would the cab ride cost back and forth from the hotel to the store?

4 days until.... :mickeyjum

We took a cab a few weeks ago from OKW to Publix on 192 (all 6 of us w/ kids) in one of the van cabs and it cost $13.50.

Did you have the cab wait for you? Or did you just take another cab back to the hotel? I know that the hotel can call a cab for you, but how about from the store. Will the store get you a cab or do you have to set that up on your own? :confused3

I heard that the gas station in front of the BW has decent prices, why not walk over and check it out first :goodvibes

Check out the General Store on the Boardwalk before you call for a cab. Unless you plan to get a lot of things, it may cost less to pay a little extra for groceries than it will to pay for cabs.

Best wishes -

I just returned - and we used DME and GardenGrocer. We had a great experience with GardenGrocer. If you need anything that is not listed on their site - you add your requests in the memo section. We added 2 cases of beer on. We weren't going to be at the resort so we had them deliver to Bell Services. Everything was perfect - and only $10 delivery fee. And another $5 to Bell Services. The water bottles we ordered and the beer - were all cold.

We called a couple more times for delivery of more food. Great each time.

Ditto for us Buzz5985! I was just going to post the same thing! :)

I do not like having to find a grocery/cab when I'm on vacation. I just let them do the work and it was great! We had super service.

have fun,

The problem is that DM actually wants to cook while we are there. :confused3
So she wants to buy some meat, veges, and other items. I checked out gardengrocer and they don't have much choices in meat. The meat that they do have is too expensive.

2 days to go until :goofy: :mickeyjum :donald: party:

I think you might find the meat and vegies are more money. That's what we found when comparing prices here in MA.

Have a great tirp. Let us know what you end up doing. How you find the prices etc.
