Cab from YC to MK?

Since we are only going for a short trip and only doing one day (night) at MK for the MNSSHP, we were wondering if it would be quickest to take a cab right from Yacht Club to MK? instead of waiting for buses. We are going in early September.

How much is the cab from YC to MK and how long does it take?

We also have CL so we were thinking about hanging at YC til a little after 5, I was thinking a cab would be quickest to then get us to MK? I know we can get in MK at 4 though so maybe we should just skip the CL offerings that night and go right to MK for 4pm

Can't help you with the cost of the cab, but be aware that a cab cannot drop you at the MK entrance. It will drop you at the TTC and a ferry or monorail ride would be required to get to MK. A better option would be to cab to the Contemporary and walk to MK from there.

I would think the bus might be quicker. It will drop you at MK in front of the gates. A cab will take you to the TTC then a boat or monorail to MK, just seems like it would be slower by cab.

Yes, if the stars align and there is little or no wait for the bus and that bus doesn't make multiple stops at the other EPCOT area resorts. I still think the most dependable/fastest route would be to hop in a cab right outside YC (they are usually waiting right there) and go directly to the CR and walk over to the MK entrance. Perhaps I'm overly pessimistic about the bus, but the cab is what I would do if I were wanting to get from YC to MK in a minimum amount of time.

The buses might be faster if everything works out perfectly. The YC bus usually goes to the BC before heading to the MK (albeit the routes do change), but it might also go to the BW, Swan, and/or Dolphin. The buses do go to the bus area by MK, so once the bus is going, it might be about equal to the taxi.

So, the bus may be slower because it has other stops to make and you may have to wait for the bus to arrive. If using the bus, the amount of walking is less.

The taxi is likely to be faster because it won't make any additional stops. As others have said, do NOT ask be taken to the MK because the taxi will go to the TTC. Ask to be taken to the Contemporary and then walk to the MK. The walk is about half of a mile.

If time matters, then I would take a taxi unless you happen to walk out and see the bus pulling up. Luckily, I think the YC taxi stand is near the bus stop (unless things have changed).
