Has anyone ever taken a cab from YC or BC to the front of Epcot? If so, do you remember about how much it cost? How close to the entrance do they drop you? Thanks

My guess is that it would cost around $6-7 if you don't hit traffic. They drop you near the bus stops.

If I might ask, why would you want to do this? Maybe we can give you better ideas...

I took the cab from Yacht and Beach CLub to MGM in May and it cost me about $10 with tip. The drop off point for taxis at Epcot is near the first set of bus stops, in the middle on the parking lot just to the left of the Epcot entrance.

Why take a cab, if you don't mind me asking? Just take the bus, or you could even walk to Epcot from your Hotel

There's no bus from the YC/BC/BW/S/D to the front of Epcot.

You can walk from the back of Epcot to the Yacht club, there is also a boat you can take.

I'd assume she wants the front of Epcot for rope drop to run to Soaring, Test Track or Mission:Space. The IG is sort of a hike and entering from the front gate gives you a jump. We never find Epcot that crowded in the morning to make that worthwhile

Crisi and Ducklite are exactly right. There is no bus from YC to the front of Epcot. I want to be at the front of Epcot for rope drop to get to Soarin. It's a long hike from International Gateway to Future World. I just subscribed to Tour Guide Mike. He suggested a cab from YC to Epcot. Saves on walking and gets us closer to wear we want to be.

By the way, I recommend TGM. I like to plan out where we're going to go first, second, third. He is a great help with that. I think he'll save us a lot of line waiting.

Thanks for your replies.

Not what we I would consider a "long hike"......Probably a 15 minute walk....Tour guide mike must be an over the top commando type. Relax and smell the roses, and if you don't get everything done this time, do what we do....come back :smooth:

Because of the shortcut through the rose garden past Imagination Pavilion, I would imagine the walk from IG to Soarin is about the same as the walk from the front entrance to Soarin.

The folks from the front gate have to walk past Spaceship Earth, then through Innoventions, then over to Soarin'

Now Test Track is a longer walk from IG, but Soarin is probably 6 of one/half dozen of the other.

I was just going to say that. When you enter through IG before WS opens they send you left, just walk UK and Canada and then you are just about at the Imagination Pavillion. It can't be that much longer if at all and IMHO much more pleasant!

Otherwise I think a cab would be less than $10.00 to the front gates of Epcot from YC.

Have fun

There are at least two reasons to want to enter at the main entrance.
(1) Some tours meet at the main entrance prior to 9:00. I would not care to bet that IG would let you through early for this purpose. Not when the price for being wrong is that you miss your tour.

(2) As already mentioned, IG entrants are at a disadvantage for getting to popular FW rides. The severity of this varies.

It used to be that the CMs at the International Gate would let people in to be held at a rope drop, and would let you start a little before 9. But the last time we did this, they would not even let anyone go through security until precisely 9:00. There are a very limited number of security tables (2?) and a very limited number of turnstiles (4-6?) at IG. So there can be noticeable delays in getting in under those circumstances. DS and I had been waiting since 8:35 so we were second in line. We really moved on the way to MS, but even still we had a 15-20 min wait by the time we got there. People farther back in line may not have even gotten into Epcot until we were in line at MS.
