Cab from John Wayne

😁

I just checked, and the Disney family sold their Napa winery last year...

How about Fess Parker's winery? I think they serve some of those at DL.

(Sorry, kikismom, I know we're hijacking your thread...)
Oh, there's a bunch of wineries with Disney connections! My friends and I went on a wine tasting tour 2 years ago and you'd be surprised how many there are. We specifically visited Disney-related wineries. I was sad to hear that the Disney family sold the winery, though I can understand why.

I haven't heard good things about Fess Parker wine, but to tell you the truth, I'm not really a wine person so I can't really tell the difference :D

It is extremely easy to get a cab at SNA. It is well marked where to go and there are always cabs waiting at the taxi stand. I would not plan on ubering to the airport to get her and back unless you absolutely have to. At least last weekend (maybe because it was a holiday weekend), the Uber pricing was very high. Yesterday before tip the price was $65 to uber from the Disneyland Hotel back to SNA.

Last Friday it was going to cost $67 to Uber from SNA to the Disneyland hotel. We grabbed a cab instead and it was either $45 or $50 I think. We almost always just grab a cab at SNA, but I always check the uber price and sometimes also the Lyft price first to see how different the prices are. They are usually pretty close to the same.

I went thru something similar recently but SeaTac with my parents. They could handle…walk our doors…ask for the taxis…enter taxis…confirm credit card or cash…they were so proud of themselves!!

We took a LYFT later that day together and they gave up watching me 30 seconds into the process!

I personally use taxis from airports when traveling for work as well.

Was that tour on the Central Coast? I wasn't aware of any Disney-related ones other than the ex-one in Napa and Fess Parker's near Santa Maria/Santa Barbara.

Our Ubers were expensive last December if I'm remembering correctly. I also went to Las Vegas in March and Uber prices had almost doubled from the same week last year. I'm wondering if the days of dirt cheap Ubers are over.

SeaTac is my home airport and I don't feel like there is good signage there so nice work on your parents part.

Uber prices were significantly higher last weekend than we have experienced in the past. We had to leave DLH in the first 24 hours to go 3 places and back (we traveled to CA for another reason and Disney was a bonus). We used Uber and even without adding the cab ride from SNA in, if I had rented a vehicle for one night and then taken it back to the airport, even with Disney resort parking charges, it would have saved me quite a bit of money. With tips I think we wound up paying about $250 in Uber and cab fees and not counting the airport, the farthest we went was 15 miles from DLH. I could have rented a vehicle for a day and paid the $35 a night Disney parking rate for a lot cheaper than that.

I'm wondering the same. We have been hit or miss other places in the last couple of years. We had one time in Atlanta where Uber quoted $60 for a drive where we have ubered several times that usually costs about $15. It was not rush hour either.
