Hey there,
Just wondering if anyone knows a rough estimate of cab fare from Orlando Airport to Disney World front gates. I'm actually going to be staying offsite at a hotel close to Disney but am trying to compare Mears prices with that of a cab fare. If anyone has any other inexpensive suggestions I would really appreciate it! Thanks a lot. :goodvibes

Along these same lines, has anyone ever gotten a cab back to the airport instead of using ME? I hate that ME picks you up so early - the last time we waited at the airport for a good 2 hours before our flight left. I'd rather be still enjoying the parks! I'd love to do a cab back, but have other people had any experiences with this - good or bad?

Thanks!

DW and I took a cab back to the Orlando airport instead of ME because ME lost our bags when we arrived. They finally showed about 1am. I generally would not have cared, but I had anniversary reservations at Victoria and Alberts that night that were supposed to be a surprise. However, no clothes, no dinner. Hmmph. Definitely a cab back from now on. At least I know my bags make it to the airport this way.

We are in the same boat - one of our group will not be staying on site with us therefore can't catch ME with the rest of our group. I am trying to figure out an economical way to get her from MCO to CBR. Any thoughts besides the cab??? I seen on MCO's site that Mears is about $31 round trip - can anyone confirm this??? And how was the experience with them?

don't forget Mears shuttle price is per person, make sure to figure that into your computation.

If your group is 3 - 9 persons a cab is less expensive.

We use Berkley Transportation. PM me if you want the info on them. We have used him several times a year for the past 8 years or so. He has a 10 passenger van -- meets you at baggage claim --picks you up at the hotel -- helps with luggage -- has great customer service -- and I am picky. They charge $100 for the round trip -- plus tip -- which is optional. Can't say enough good things. Takes you right there -- no other stops -- worth every penny!

10 of us total in party - 9 staying on site therefore get to use the ME. The one person would be on their own so I think Mears would be the cheapest route in this case. We are actually in the midst of trying to switch to a resort to accomodate 5 people therefore avoiding all this :).
