cab fare and pickup location from AK-Kidani

I am planning on getting a cab from Kidani village to Typhoon Lagoon. I like to get to TL early so I can get a particular spot we like and I don't want to mess with possible bus issues.
Do cabs pick up at Kidani, or do we have to go over to AKL? And any ideas about the cost? I'm thinking about $10.

There are always taxis waiting down in the temporary parking by the pool. One of the attendants will call one up for you. There is usually a van too close by if you need one for more people. All you have to do is ask.

You'll probably be looking at more like $19-$21 plus tip, it's almost a 7 mile trip.

Probably more like $25, including tip.

That's fine. It's still cheaper than renting a car and I will have less stress. Thanks.
