Can a CAA (AAA in the states) member book a room for a non CAA member and get the special rate? My father in law wants to treat us to our disney hotel room and he is a CAA member - he will not be coming on the trip though. Can we do this and still get the rate or does he have to be with us?

Your mileage may vary, so take this with that understanding.

The policy is that anybody can make a reservation with a AAA discount. The number and expiration date will be needed when booking the reservation. At check in, both a AAA card and the owner of that card will be required to keep the discounted rate.

That's the policy. Whether or not they actually request the card? I don't know. I personally would not be willing to take that chance. I would either probably get a AAA membership. (THey're not that expensive, and the benefits extend far beyond a Disney resort discount). Or, I would just pay rack rate or try and use a general public code.
