CAA/AAA tickets : reseller or not?

I've got a few questions and I might need the help of some ticket experts here :)
I went to my CAA office this morning. They are selling the WDW tickets at the same 25% discount as offered on the WDW site. These are actual plastic cards but they tell me that they are different from the "regular" tickets (I haven't seen them yet) as they are special green cards identified as Canadian discounted tickets. The employee told me they can be linked in MDE to book FP+ but they need to be exchanged at Guest Relations (or ticket booth) for regular tickets before they can be used to enter a park.
I'm wondering if these are considered tickets sold by a reseller or not.
We want to upgrade to AP when we go there in March so it would make sense to buy the longest ticket possible (as this would give us the best discount) but if this is considered a ticket sold directly from Disney (thus non-bridgeable), it would therefore eliminate the discount and would not be worth it.

Any ticket expert (Robo? Ravenclaw?) want to give me your opinion? Are the tickets sold by CAA/AAA considered as coming from a reseller? The CAA agent told me it was like buying a ticket directly from Disney (same price) so I really don't know what to think.
If I can upgrade (and bridge), I'll get the 10-day PH and save a lot on my AP. If not, I'll only get what I need for my March trip, which is a 6-day regular ticket, and still get a great price at 25% discount.
What would you do?
Thanks!

I don't see how they wouldn't be considered to be from a reseller since they're not being sold directly by Disney. I would assume that when the agent said that it was like buying a ticket directly from Disney, he meant that the ticket wasn't any different than one sold by Disney.

Correct assumption.

They ARE authorized resellers.
They sell real Disney tickets, but they are purchased at a wholesale rate from Disney.

Their tickets can be price-bridged when upgraded.

Thanks for your replies! :flower1:

It's mostly the fact that I need to go exchange the tickets at a ticket booth that has me worried.

I am wondering why you would need to exchange them, if they are attached to you on MDE. Are you staying onsite, using Magic Bands? If so, I would think you could just use the Magic Bands? (I know they do not mail them to Canada, they are distributed at check in )

Sounds like a good deal!

I guess it's because these tickets can only be bought by Canadians so they need to verify eligibility before issuing "real" tickets that can be used to enter the parks. I really don't know how these will appear in MDE but it's probably like an AP certificate that lets you book FP+ but that you still need to exchange for the real thing?
We are staying offsite but we have magicbands from previous trips :thumbsup2

We bought these too. They look like normal tickets in MDE, but you need to go to a ticket booth and show your Canadian passport for each person who bought a ticket to activate them. Just to make sure no one is trying to cheat the system.
