Hey there vetrans :) I was reading my Disneyland Guide and it said that a perk of staying at one of the 3 resorts was that you could get into CA one hour earlier than it opened?

I know I've read on here that if you get to the gates 1/2 hour earlier than it opens they will open the gates for shopping and what not...but is there any truth to the above?

Which guide where you reading? I have never heard this about staying on site. Yes they do soft open the park 30 minutes before scheduled opening. During this time only Soarin' is open.

If you purchase a park hopper (3+days) you get early entry into Disneyland on select days. But this is for all guest who have mutli-day hoppers. Not just for resort guests.

We just booked a package through WDTC and are staying at PP in December. We are getting one early entry to Fantasyland and one early entry to Mickey's Toontown. Didn't get anything for CA. :confused3

I've not heard of this perk either, and I am also booked GCH later this summer. At WDW, a perk of staying onsite is early admission to one of the parks. Also, a few years back, a perk of staying at one of the Disney hotels was early admission to DL, but that was discontinued.

It's those "EVERYTHING" (white and green) books/guide that I'm reading. Not taking everything I read as "Disney Law" but wanted to just scan through and see what I'd find :)

Yea, I'm thinking it might have been a perk at some time in the past but no longer! Never hurts to ask!
