Can anyone explain why CA hours are so much shorter then DL. I'm planning a trip here in August (Thursday) and only plan on going one day into CA. Will I be able to see and do everything. I don't have small children in tow just teenagers who love to do the parks commando style anyway. I was also wondering if there are fireworks or are they just at DL. Thanks any advice is greatly appreciated. Gina

Because DCA doesnt have the nightime entertainment to support itself very well. DL wins hands down with Fantasmic and Believe and so many people who dont do the minor attractions and run out of high speed turbulant rides head back to DL or those who want to catch F! or Believe head back to DL and DCAs attendance drops pretty good near dark so they usually close pretty early.

Which is sad as DCA is a gorgeous park after dark especially Paridise Pier-

No DCA doesnt have their own fireworks but you can see most of DLs there but I dont believe they pump the music over there... DCA does have the Electrical Parade

You should be able to get most of DCA done in one day- Atleast the major attractions :)

There's no problem getting DCA done in a day. Just get there at least 30 minutes before the official opening so you can ride Soarin' w/o a wait (they open the gates 30 minutes before official time and Soarin' is open at that time). Then be at the ropes near GRR at the official opening time and go to the back of the park to get on CA Screamin'. For the shortest route to that, you want to be at the GRR rope, follow the path past there and through San Fransisco (they made a street that looks like SF) and straight over the Paradise Pier bridge (you'll pass a board that has ride wait times). Do Not make a right turn after SF street as that's the really long way and you'll have to walk all around PP to get to CS. Make sure at some point to see the Aladdin show as it's really good. Get there at least 45 minutes early and grab seats in the upper orchestra section for the best view (first few rows in the center if at all possible).
