Hi All

Has anyone gone to CA Grill brunch recently with kids? We were able to snag a reservation during our next trip in February that we are super excited about but looking at the menu I have no clue what my kiddos will eat. My kids will be 9 and 8 at the time of our trip and are very well behaved (they'll have no issues sitting there for a while, I know this can be a long meal) but are still picky when it comes to food.

Has anyone been with kids? What did your kids eat? Do they have any "plain" foods like just regular pancakes or scrambled eggs?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My kids were 11 and 4 when we went and they loved it. There was plenty for them to eat. They ordered plain pancakes, but our waitress offered to put chocolate chips in them, so they both said yes to that! There were lots of options on the buffet they enjoyed too. It felt very comfortable to have children there, and our server was absolutely lovely.
DS is autistic too, so, for it to be a win for him, it was really good "ordinary" food wise, and not too loud, or stressful.
They view was interesting for them too.

TAKE NOTICE: changes always happen to menus in previous reviews.

If your kids are used too behaving at nice restaurants, this will be perfect.

In no uncertain terms, it is the most civilized (buffet) meal at Disney (not named Victoria & Albert).

The live music. The lack of table-turnover. The priceless view of Magic Kingdom.

To make the buffet elements work, they simply keep the place calm.

It may not be the most child-friendly when comparing to the incomparable Sci-Fi Dine-In (where I hate the food, but always go) - but if your kids typically behave, even they'll like CA Grill brunch.

Disney accommodates most every need (certainly to the best of their collective ability, most times), and CA Grill is at the high-end of what Disney can deliver. Plain pancakes are available. Typically good food. And if you don't like what you have, order something else.

It's expensive; it's very expensive for children.

It's the most civilized meal at Disney I could bring my child to enjoy with me.

We go whenever it fits our schedule.

I forgot about the live music. My daughter absolutely loved it, and, when she asked, I took her to tell the musician that she thought they were great, so they played a request for her. It made her day! My children are usually pretty well behaved in a restaurant (they KNOW that I will make them leave if they are not) and we found this meal to be very calm, relaxed and enjoyable.

what about the poorly behaved adults ?

We took a 4 year old and a 6 year old and it was fine. I don't remember exactly what they had but they were able to find something.

We've taken our daughter (think she was 6 at the time) and it is one of her favorite Disney meals and she asks to repeat it often. We haven't since it is so expensive (especially for kids since mine at least eats like a bird most of that time) but we will unquestionably be back at some point. There were definitely other kids there and as long as they are aware its a longer meal you shouldn't have an issue. I will say that my daughter is not a picky eater (the sushi on the buffet was her favorite) but she ordered a vanilla french toast for her entree that was perfection.

We took my son during his third birthday trip, so he was still "free" and it was awesome. I would absolutely consider paying the kid's price for him now because it's such a great meal and experience. He had plenty to eat and I remember he especially enjoyed the biscuits, fruit, fancy cheese, various charcuterie and the Greek yogurt. We were there over two hours and his restaurant behavior was even better than usual because the atmosphere is on the peaceful side and the view and live music kept him entertained. When we walked in and they handed the adults our welcome mimosas, they also handed my son his own welcome drink with grapes on top. I assumed it was water but then later realized it was probably Sprite based on how he was gulping it down. He doesn't normally drink soda, so that must have been amazing to him! :poop:

We took my nephew when he was 7 and then again this year when he was 9. Even though it wasn't on the menu we ordered him chocolate chip pancakes and they even brought him more because he was still hungry. He loves it there.

Took my son when he was 2.5 (free) and again last July when he was 5. It was great! He found stuff to eat at the buffet and tried sushi too. For mains we shared four dishes between the three of us! I think your family would enjoy :)

We haven't been to the CG brunch with kids, but we saw plenty of very well-behaved kids there. The little boy in the photo below asked the head chef if he could just have a plate of plain bacon. It was so amazing how patient and attentive the staff were with his request! The chef (I believe his name was Jonathan) even came around the counter and knelt down with the kid, telling him if he needed any more bacon to feel free to ask for more. :)

We took our 3 year old son and he enjoyed the food. I say as long as they can sit through a long meal you’ll be fine. Enjoy! CG brunch was mine and DH favorite meal of the trip!
