Wake up time: 4a EST. Running on just under 4hrs sleep. I showered, changed, had breakfast, took a ginseng, and whatnot.

The van (that belongs to my stepmom) was loaded tothemax. I squeezed in somewhere and we rode to my stepmom's ex-husband's (who she managed to stay friends with after he had family issues a few years back) house. He would be kind enough to drive us (me, dad, stepmom) to the airport and keep the van at his place for the duration.

Airport arrival: 7-something. We did the curbside checkin and were on our way. The line to get through security was LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG. I would have guessed at least 45 mins. This is why I try to avoid early AM flights. Since my stepmom uses a motorized wheelchair often, we were able to bypass most of the line. Sweet. Our plane was on time and was at the gate when we checked in. FINALLY! No delays, unlike my previous trips.

The first plane went from MCO to ATL without any problem. ATL was ATL and the second plane was on time and left without a problem. The flight to CA was looooooooooong, but I managed to keep myself entertained.

We arrived in CA around 1p PDT. I met my aunt for the first time ever at SAN (John Wayne Airport). The drive from SAN to their home was uneventful. The house, however, is gorgeous. Yes, there are pics. Lots.

After some downtime, my uncle, who I had not seen in 20 years, came home, said hi, and whatnot. We would eventually go to downtown Huntington and to the pier. I took some great sunset pics.

That is all for day 1. Day 2 is commencing as you read.

:woohoo: thank you!!!!

beautiful sunset! who caught the fishes? you guys?

The buildings are beautiful....so neat to look at. (never been to CA...but, someday  )

Tell you uncle he has a gorgeous home....hopefully it's bigger than pictures make it look!

Nice Pics! Nice family. Is that you sitting on the fountain and standing next to the sharkhead on the wall?

Some kids caught that shark. Yes, that's a shark. Another couple caught the ray.

I love the sunset pics. As for the fountain and the shark head, there may be a chance that the person in said pics is me. Similarly, it may not be me. :darth:
