We take along a new, clean 2 gallon "zippy" (ZipLoc) bag when we travel, and DH puts his mask/hose in there, and then that, along with the unit goes into the suitcase when we are out of the room.
He thoroughly cleans & sanitizes his tank, mask & hose every night (and we have to bring along Distilled Water) because... well, it's on his face, and he breathes through it, so... He doesn't let ANYONE touch it but him.
Gift shops sell distilled water it's like $3 a gallon. Unless you drive then it's probably cheaper that way. But I fly and just buy a gallon for the Cpap and to make coffee.
Thank you! I had never seen the distilled water in the shops (although admittedly, since we always brought our own or had it shipped in with groceries, there was no need for me to look for it). I'm genuinely glad to hear it's available so easily on site!

Just quick question....when you have your c-pap in your room what do you use to cover the nasal opening. worried about sanitation and critters!
Never thought of that - great idea!I use a pillow case, I just stuff the whole mask in there. I like it because it breaths, unlike a plastic bag and they are easy to wash.
